Rosary Altar Society
Purpose:
To honor the Blessed Virgin Mary through recitation of the Holy
Rosary; to help its members reach full maturity in Christ through
prayer and good works. A primary responsibility traditionally
has been care and maintenance of the altar, sanctuary, and
sacristy.

Membership:
Women of the parish who remain in good standing as defined in our
by-laws.
New members and officers are installed formally at June meeting.
Current membership is approximately 50 active, 25 inactive (dues-paying
only). Member dues are $5 per year.
Meetings:
First Wednesday of each month unless otherwise publicized.
Corporate Communion:
First Sunday of the Month, 10:00 AM Mass, beginning April
2008.
Fiscal year:
July 1 through June 30. (For convenience, coincides with fiscal
year of our parent organization, Council of Catholic Women,
Archdiocese of Detroit).

Organization: OLOA Rosary
and Altar Society is assigned to the Downriver
Southland Area, Council of Catholic Women, Archdiocese of Detroit (CCW/AD). The current Area president is Lorraine McFee of Our Lady of the Angels Parish. Lorraine and Joan Beaton
are members of the Board of Directors, CCW/AD; Joan is current
Treasurer and Lorraine is a candidate for CCW/AD Presidency, a
position now held by Michelle Audia of Dearborn).
Terms of office:
One year with
option to remain in office for two consecutive years. Offices are filled
through nomination/election process. (Nominations are accepted in
March and April; elections are held in May with officers installed in
June).
