2008 Update

The Adult Choir

Members of the adult choir sing at every 10:00 AM Sunday mass from mid - September through Pentecost. We have special presentations for Christmas and Easter. Our rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 PM with added rehearsals during the holiday seasons. We sing in four - part harmony whenever possible. Members must be 13 yrs. or older.

The Youth Singers

We are fortunate to have some very talented youth in the music program. The members range in age from 13 - 23 years of age. These are some of the most gifted young musicians in the area. At this time, the group sings at the 12:00 noon mass on the first Sunday of every month. Rehearsals are generally on the Sunday evening one week prior to their performance at 7:00 PM in the church

The Folk Group

Members of the Folk Group sing at most 12:00 noon masses from mid - September until mid - June, and occasionally through the summer months. The group is led by Suzanne Rejefske who has been the leader for many years. The music is upbeat and is accompanied by piano, guitar, and drums with added percussion. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 PM with extra rehearsals throughout the holiday seasons.

The Cantor Program

There are approximately 10 - 12 cantors in the music program. We utilize our cantors in the most fair way possible. For special events, all names of the cantors are collected and put into a container. Those drawn will lead the singing during Christmas and Easter. They will not be selected again until every cantor has had his / her turn. It takes a few years to complete the cycle! The cantor rehearsals are after choir practice on the Thursday evening prior to the performance.
